Статья посвящена анализу специфики переводческой деятельности в правоохранительной сфере и определению трудностей, возникающих при переводе специализированных текстов. Актуальность темы определяется возрастающей ролью межъязыкового взаимодействия в деятельности правоохранительных органов. Для обеспечения качественного перевода официальных документов, нормативных актов и устных высказываний в международном сотрудничестве требуется высокий уровень юридической и лингвистической подготовки специалистов. Научная новизна исследования заключается в проведении сравнительно-сопоставительного анализа лексики и терминов сотрудников правоохранительных органов различных стран (на примере английского и русского языков).

The article is devoted to the analysis of the specifics of translation activities in the lawenforcement sphere and the definition of difficulties encountered in the translation of specialized texts. The relevance of the topic is determined by the increasing role of interlanguage interaction in the activities of lawenforcement agencies. High-quality translation of official documents, regulations and oral statements in international cooperation requires a high level of legal and linguistic training of specialists. The scientific novelty of the study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the vocabulary and terms of lawenforcement officers from different countries (using the example of English and Russian languages)
